Chemical Peel FAQs
For best results, a minimum of three peels is recommended. The number of peels needed may vary from person to person. It is generally recommended that peels are done every four to eight weeks.
You should avoid any direct sun or tanning booth for two weeks. Five to seven days before treatment, you should not use chemical hair removal products or wax your skin.
Three to four VI Peel treatments are usually required for optimal results; however, many patients may see remarkable results after just one treatment.
Following a VI Peel, patients should not need to take time off work, school, or other routine activities. Patients should keep the VI Peel on their faces for a minimum of four hours.
VI Peel Facial Peel treatments are most commonly accompanied by mild numbness that begins a few seconds after application. You will notice that your skin appears tanned, yellow, or red right after the peeling procedure.
